Aeron Sofa was a competition entry in the Blue Design Awards in 1999. The design was the runner up to the winner and awarded the stamp Highly Commended for design excellence. Aeron was developed in the shape of Aeron 2 for the Japanese market, commissioned by Idée in Tokyo for Idée own brand collection.
